About Latinicida, Inc 

Latinicida is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of Latinas through academic assistance, leadership development, and civic engagement while helping bridge opportunity gaps and economic disparities within the Latin community. Latinicida advocates for the integration of Latinas within all aspects of the classroom, community, and corporate structure, while embracing cultural heritage and establishing networks among other Latinas. These positions are UNPAID and 100% REMOTE.

  • Role Description:

    As Latinicida’s (“LTN”) Outreach Coordinator, you are responsible for assisting the Events Team in expanding the relationships between LTN with the surrounding community. You will brainstorm potential partnerships or methods for engagement with the respective communities, maintain a calendar for outreach events, and work closely with community partners to plan and execute various outreach events. You will also be responsible for collaborating with LTN’s Event Team to promote alignment with LTN’s mission and goals. Please keep in mind that this position is strictly on a volunteer basis and does not include monetary compensation.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Brainstorm, plan, and coordinate prospective event topics, speakers and/or themes 3-6 month prior to approximate event date

    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with potential event speakers, mentors, and network contacts.

    • Planning event details, including: LTN guest speakers, timing, and utilized streaming platforms.

    • Managing events and addressing any potential problems that may arise.

    • Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event.

    • Event coordination and correspondence with LTN Social Media Team and event speakers.

    • Determine benchmarks for success prior to each event, evaluate their effectiveness after the event, and incorporate improvements in future planning.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven excellent written and oral communication skills.

    • Creative thinker, independent worker, and self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects on a deadline.

    • Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain an understanding of the big picture.

    • Fluency in Spanish is a plus

    • Highly organized and a self-starter

    • Must be able to work in a mostly deadline-driven environment with some room for flexibility

    • Must be available for biweekly virtual meetings with LTN’s Board of Directors and Event Team

  • Role Description:

    Latinicida is looking for a driven and passionate individual to join our Social Media Team as the Director of Marketing and Social Media. This role will require you to create informative and engaging content and copy for Instagram, TikTok, etc. Responsibilities also include creating plans for content strategy and maintaining content scheduling through our scheduling platform. Your main focus as Director will be to create awareness for Latinicida, Inc. through content and marketing initiatives.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Create unique social media posts and video content to inform target audience of LTN’s offerings, programs, and important updates

    • Write clear, informative captions detailing the topic discussed in your posts

    • Submit content in a timely manner, making revisions as needed

    • Use social media insights to influence marketing decisions and content strategy

    • Stay up to date with ever-changing industry trends, best practices, and social media innovations

    • Work closely with all members of the LTN Board of Directors and outside parties to ensure content accuracy across all channels

    Qualifications:

    • Advanced knowledge of multiple social media platforms including but not limited to: Instagram*, Tiktok*, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest

    • Must be well versed in Instagram and Tiktok best practices

    • Experience with Canva is a must

    • Experience with Later Scheduling platform is preferred but not required

    • Basic understanding of insights and analytics as it pertains to each social platform

    • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

    • Communicates effectively in written form as appropriate for the needs of the audience

    • Researching, writing, compiling, and managing the timeline of all grants, including maintenance and oversight of workflow processes and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient collection and timely submission.

    • Write grant applications and all reports and conduct prospect research on new opportunities aligned with Latinicida’s mission.

    • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and foundations’ requirements for grants.

    • Work closely with the Financial Team and Treasurer to respond to requests for special reports, collaterals, and non-grant materials with a strategic perspective.

    • Creative thinker, independent worker, and self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects on a deadline

    • Ability to attend to detail-oriented tasks while maintaining an understanding of big picture
